Pronounced (ROW-ZAY-SHA), Rosacea is actually a chronic acne disease which affects the skin. Typically confined to the facial area, Rosacea is characterized by slight redness, inflammation, and at times - pimples. Over 13 million people in the U.S. are affected by Rosacea. Women with fair skin, in between the ages of 30-50 tend to develop Rosacea more often than men, although both sexes can carry the disease. Sometimes characterized by a reddish color, Rosacea can progress over a long stretch of time, but is highly treatable.
